Curator of Art (Modern & Contemporary), based at Norwich Castle Study Centre

£19,370 - £23,405 per annum

Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery is developing its profile as a venue for modern and contemporary art in the context of the historic and modern collections. Norwich Castle delivers an annual programme of temporary art exhibitions and associated activities in association with partners, notably Tate, British Museum, East Anglia Art Fund and Norfolk Contemporary Art Society.

You will lead the development of the modern and contemporary collections and exhibitions and assist in the delivery and administration of the temporary exhibitions programme at Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery. Duties will include documentation, loans administration, developing and producing display and related educational materials, and installing and marketing exhibitions.

You will have worked in a museums or gallery environment previously, have art curatorial experience, documentation and administration experience, together with an awareness of collections management issues and excellent communication and organisational skills.
